Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been one of the protagonists of Opening Night Live, the inaugural event of Gamescom 2023 that took place last night. From Ubisoft, they showed a new trailer for the game in which they focus on showing in detail what the city of Baghdad will be like in the title.
This new installment of the assassins franchise is a return to the origins. Assassin’s Creed Mirage moves away from the RPG style that had featured in recent installments such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and focuses on offering a more restrained experience in the style of the first Assassin’s Creed.
The action returns to the Middle East, to the city of Baghdad during the 9th century. The players embody Basim, an assassin who must face the Templar threat in the city. From Ubisoft they assure that this will be a smaller game, about 20 hours long, with a more linear and restrained story.
In the new trailer that they have published on the occasion of Gamescom, a city of Baghdad is seen alive and full of details, as is usual in the Ubisoft franchise. In addition, you can also see a bit of parkour, another of the protagonists of the franchise. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 5.
