The Provincial Police have arrested a man as the alleged perpetrator of a homicide at the family home in the Navarrese town of Labiano by killing his son with a firearm.
The crime took place around 8:15 a.m. this Sunday on Iturria Street in Labiano, at the home where they both lived. The father, an octogenarian, has been arrested and taken to the central police station of the Foral Police, this body has reported in a statement.
Patrols from the Provincial Citizen Security Police, Judicial and Scientific Police have gone to the scene, cordoning off the area, where residents of this town of less than two hundred inhabitants belonging to the municipality of Aranguren have gathered.
At 11:45 a.m. the body was removed for transfer to the Institute of Legal Medicine, where the autopsy will be carried out.
A court of first instance and investigation in Aoiz has taken charge of the investigation, judicial sources have indicated, recalling that the police have 72 hours to place the detainee at their disposal.
