The man detained by the Police for his alleged involvement in the crime of a 21-year-old young man in August 2022 in Los Montes de Málaga, and who had been convicted of four homicides in the late 1980s, is also being investigated by the Police. disappearance of a woman in Gandía (Valencia) in the summer of last year. 

As sources close to the investigation have informed EFE, José Jurado Montilla, alias El Titi or Dinamita Montilla, is being investigated for the disappearance of Ester Estepa, a 42-year-old from Seville who was last seen in Gandía in August 2023. .

Ester’s family assures that José Jurado, 62, was one of the last people to see the woman alive and has released a photograph in which he is seen with the suspect and another person just two days before disappear.

The arrest of this individual occurred last Thursday in a bar in Valdebótoa (Badajoz), almost two years after the crime of a 21-year-old young man whose body was found with a head injury on August 30, 2022, in a area of ​​Los Montes de Málaga, where his parents have a farm.

The death of this young man would be the fifth that, at the moment, weighs on the detainee, who was released from prison in December 2013 after the ruling of the Strasbourg Court that overturned the ‘Parot doctrine’, which applied prison benefits to all of sentence.

José Jurado had been sentenced to 123 years in prison for four homicides that occurred in the province of Málaga between 1985 and 1987, he served 28 years of his sentence and was released in 2013. The investigations indicate that David H. was supposedly murdered by a gunshot in the back and later finished on the ground, after crossing paths in the middle of the field with the alleged murderer, to whom he offered water from his own bottle. 

Some biological traces found in the zipper of David’s backpack and the trail he left on his social networks, where he was very active especially on TikTok – he managed to accumulate more than 3,000 followers – led the National Police to locate José Jurado. In fact, it was he himself who said in a video in the Valdebótoa bar where he was. He did not resist at the time of arrest.

The subdelegate of the Government in Malaga, Javier Salas, stated that this crime “shocked Malaga” and that with this “arduous” investigation the message is sent that “no matter how much time passes” or its difficulty, since it will end up being “solved.” the case”.
