A train of storms this week will leave rainfall in much of the territory and abundant cloudiness, although by the end a stabilization of the weather is expected, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

Rain will be more abundant in the western third and unlikely in the extreme east and the Balearic Islands. It will only snow in the Pyrenees and other mountains in the north and southeast. An instability that will lose weight starting Thursday.

The week will begin with very high temperatures, exceeding 20 degrees maximum in many points. However, as the days progress, a progressive and general decline is expected.

The frosts, which will initially be restricted to the Pyrenees at the beginning, will gradually gain extension and intensity, occurring in the mountains of the northern half from Wednesday and, eventually, in much of the northern and southeastern halves.

For this Monday, the passage of an Atlantic front associated with Storm Hipólito is expected, with a predominance of cloudy or overcast skies and precipitation extending from west to east and affecting almost the entire territory, except for most of the Mediterranean area.

According to Aemet, rainfall will be more abundant in the south of Galicia, the North Plateau, the North of the South and the Central System. On the contrary, they will be weak and occasional in the southern and eastern thirds of the peninsula. In general, they will decrease in the second half of the day. Snow is not ruled out in the Pyrenees above two thousand meters.

Regarding temperatures, maximum temperatures are expected to decrease in the southeastern third of the peninsula, increasing in most of the northwest quadrant, around the Ebro and the Canary Islands. On the other hand, the minimum temperatures will increase almost universally in the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, leaving frost restricted to the Pyrenees area.
