Starting this Thursday there will be a progressive rise in temperatures in most of Spain, being especially high during the weekend with areas of the southern peninsula where they will exceed 35 degrees and tropical nights, according to the forecast of the State Agency for Meteorology (Aemet). 

“During the next few days we will see a stabilization of the weather, although storms may still form in points in the north and east of the peninsula, as well as in the Balearic Islands, especially on Friday,” details the agency’s spokesperson, Rubén del Campo. . 

Today a thermal rise is expected in much of Spain, especially in the west and south of the peninsula. It will be around 30 to 32 degrees in the Guadalquivir Valley. Specifically, only the extreme north of the peninsula will remain below 20 degrees, and in the central and southern areas of the Peninsula it will exceed 25.

The rains and showers will be located in the extreme north of the Peninsula with some storms in Catalonia and not ruled out in isolated points in the east of the peninsula and Mallorca. 

On Friday the thermal rise will continue in most of the territory, although there will be a drop in parts of the Mediterranean due to the arrival of fresh winds. This day, the most marked rise will occur in Galicia and the Cantabrian Sea. In addition, temperatures will exceed 30 degrees in the Guadiana and Guadalquivir valleys and even 32 in the Guadalquivir valley. 

Looking ahead to the weekend, the protagonist will be stable weather, high temperatures and tropical nights, where it will not drop below 20 degrees. On Saturday, temperatures will exceed 30 degrees in the Ebro Valley, the central area and the southern half of the peninsula and even 32 to 34 in the Guadalquivir Valley.

Same trend for Sunday. 30 degrees could be reached in points of the northern plateau; the Ebro, a good part of the central area and the southern half of the peninsula will exceed 32; and the Tagus, Guadiana and Guadalquivir Valleys would reach or exceed 34. It is not ruled out that in Seville and Córdoba they reach 35. 

Furthermore, for that day, the agency warns of tropical nights in several areas of Andalusia, where it will not drop below 20 degrees and falling asleep will be difficult.
