This Tuesday, Spain will continue to be under the influence of high pressure in most of the country with slightly cloudy skies, little rain and high temperatures for the time of year, although a slight decrease will be recorded in the Cantabrian Sea, interiors of the central east of the peninsula and east of the Canary Islands, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
The minimum temperatures in general will also tend to decrease. Despite this, temperatures will continue to be high for the season in most of the country, with frost only in the high altitudes of the Pyrenees and dispersed in other mountain areas in the northern half.
There will be no changes in the maximum temperatures, which will remain between 5 and 10 degrees of what is usual for the time of year, according to the agency. They will touch or reach 20 degrees in provinces such as Murcia, Ourense, Granada, Huelva, Palma, Seville, Bilbao, Córdoba, Cádiz or Badajoz.
The agency foresees abundant low morning cloudiness in large areas of the Mediterranean slope, both plateaus, Alborán, interior of Galicia and depressions in the southwest of the peninsula, which in general will tend to leave slightly cloudy skies. Mist and fog are expected in several inland areas, which will be denser around the upper Ebro.
Intervals of low clouds will persist around the Strait and north of Cape Nao, with occasional drizzle expected. Intervals of low clouds are also expected in the Balearic Islands and the north of the Canary Islands with greater relief.
In addition, weak winds are expected in general, with an easterly component in the Canary Islands and in the Mediterranean area, more intense in its southern half. Strong intervals could occur in the Strait, where winds of 50 to 61 km/h could be reached and where Aemet has activated the yellow warning due to risk.
