The Municipal Police of Terrassa (Barcelona) has rescued a dog that had been locked up on a balcony for three days, in the sun, without water or food, as reported by the City Council on Wednesday.

The police received several calls from citizens around 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday reporting that there was a dog that was very nervous and with the intention of jumping from a balcony on the third floor of a house located on Calle Autonomía.

Police sources have explained that a crew went to the place and verified that the animal was locked in a balcony without an awning, without water or food.

Given the situation and the high temperatures, of more than 37 degrees, the agents notified the fire department, who accessed the balcony and lowered the dog, which showed symptoms of dehydration.

Later he was transferred to the Domestic Animal Shelter Center (CAAD), where he could be assisted.

The police force, which is investigating the facts, has denounced the owner for serious violations of the animal tenure and protection ordinance.
