The judge who investigates the alleged sexual assault of the soccer player Dani Alves will question the investigated next Monday at the request of the defense, according to what the SER chain has advanced and the ACN has been able to confirm. Alves will testify in person and it will be the first time that he has done so before the investigating court with the new lawyer who represents him, Cristóbal Martell, who took up the case when the athlete was already in prison. At the same time, it will be the first time that the investigating judge has testified before the investigating judge, since the decision to deprive him of liberty was made by a substitute judge.

Alves has been in prison since January accused of raping a 23-year-old girl on the night of December 31 in the toilets of the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona.

In previous statements, Alves came to admit that there had been a sexual relationship with the alleged victim after denying it, but he stated that they had been consensual.

The judge did not give credibility to this statement and decided to send him to prison due to the risk of flight.
