A 14-year-old boy has been taken into custody for a deadly shooting incident in Miami that resulted in one fatality and another person seriously injured, as per authorities. Samas Marcellas Williams faces charges of second-degree murder with a weapon and attempted second-degree murder after the two victims were shot multiple times on Northeast 77th Street in the early hours of October 11, according to Miami Police.

Police officers rushed to the scene following two ShotSpotter alerts indicating multiple rounds had been discharged. Upon arrival, they discovered one victim, identified as Robin Fernandez, unresponsive and lying face down. Sadly, Miami Fire Rescue pronounced Fernandez deceased at 1:10 a.m. The second victim, who had also suffered several gunshot wounds, was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.

Authorities were able to link Williams to the crime scene through video surveillance and investigative work. He was apprehended at his Miami residence on Tuesday in connection with a separate robbery case.
