A 58-year-old worker died this Thursday at the Gran Canaria airport after being run over by a steamroller, according to sources from the Civil Guard.
The event occurred at 10:00 this morning, when the victim was carrying out maintenance and paving tasks on the airfield runway.
The Civil Guard is investigating the events, although everything indicates that it is a random accident, the sources have indicated.
Through the surveillance cameras it has been observed that another colleague of the deceased who was manipulating the roller did not see him and ran over him.
