Hundreds of students come to the dining room of the University of Granada (UGR) every day. Years, generations and promotions pass but this space never goes out of style. Its main attractions: its delicious food and its irresistible price (3.50 euros), designed for the battered economy of university students.

There is no student who does not know the UGR dining room, but it is not so popular outside the province and the Andalusian community. But this is no longer the case thanks to a publication on X, formerly Twitter.

A student was happy with the menu of the day, so he decided to share a photo on his profile. For that day, he had a good plate of chickpeas with some noodles, fish accompanied by salad, a fruit for dessert, bread and drinks. All for 3.50 euros.

The tweet soon received hundreds of reactions. Some users highlighted the good service in the dining room. For many, the photo brought back good memories. “Those trays are eternal… they were already there when I studied, right at the beginning of the century,” commented one. “It was and is the best,” adds another former student.

Without a doubt, many noticed the price of the UGR dining room, very cheap compared to other universities and any bar in any town or city. “Even cheaper than the one in Seville, which is 4.15 euros,” comments one user. “Tremendous! Only an increase of 0.50 euros in the last 13 years when I studied there and went to the dining room,” adds another.
