Candy has said goodbye to her colleagues at the Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office (VBSO) early. This 11-year-old German shepherd was going to retire at the end of this year, but a cancer diagnosis forced him to change plans and leave his position in the narcotics tracking unit.
On his last day of service, the agents farewelled him with all honors: making an endless corridor and forming a formation in his honor. And some have not been able to suppress tears of emotion.
