The disappearance of Pau Roig García, 35, has caused great consternation in the community of Quart de Poblet, Valencia. Pau, belonging to a wealthy family, was last seen in the early hours of Monday to Tuesday in Alginet, Valencia. Although he had met a friend to watch a television show, he never made it to the appointment.
On Monday, May 20, at midnight, Pau left his house in Alginet and headed to his place of work, a dealership in Quart de Poblet, about 30 minutes away. This is the last recorded image of Pau on the security cameras. His car appeared at the dealership with the keys in it and the cell phone inside, which caused concern among his family.
Pau’s family suspects that the disappearance was not voluntary due to certain details. Before leaving, he left his house keys in the door and another set of keys was found in his car along with his cell phone, where the last photo of him is a selfie taken a few hours before disappear. Friends and family are devastated and are searching for him.
“We are in shock, this cannot be happening to us. Shocked to think every day that it will appear. What happens is that we also know that each day that passes plays a little against us,” declared a cousin of Pau. The family describes him as a responsible boy with a good job and salary. “If you are seeing me anywhere, please come home. “We are all waiting for you,” she added.
Vicent, best friend and spokesperson for the family, along with David, Pau’s cousin, spoke with ‘TardeAR’. “There are no official suspicions. Everything is very strange, something escapes us and we trust the security forces who are investigating. There are things that don’t fit in his way of being and acting,” commented Vicent. He added that Pau had met a friend to watch a television program but decided not to go and went to his work instead.
David, Pau’s cousin, reported that Pau’s parents, who were traveling in Japan, returned immediately upon learning of the disappearance. “They are very worried,” he said. The family rules out that Pau left on his own, since he always informed if he was going camping, to a rural house or to his apartment in Cullera.
The SOS Disappeared Association has issued an alert to locate Pau Roig García, who disappeared on Tuesday, May 21 in Quart de Poblet. Pau is 1.90 meters tall, has a slim build, has black hair, brown eyes and a dimple in his chin. The community remains united in the search, waiting for answers and Pau’s safe return.
