The first confirmation of his death came through a statement from the artist Benny ‘La Jodienda’, who revealed the news in a publication through his Instagram account. “The genre is in mourning!!! Alexio ‘La Bruja’, also known as Alexio ‘La Bestia’ has been one of the references of the urban genre, composing highly successful songs such as “Tumba la casa” and “Tarará”. Countless reggaeton and trap fans have said goodbye to the Puerto Rican, who was fighting cancer.
Just a few days ago, Arcángel and Anuel AA went to social networks to ask for donations for their partner. Alexio was diagnosed in 2017 with breast cancer, a disease that became complicated this last week, since the artist urgently needed blood and platelet donations.
“My brother from another mother is fighting like a warrior for his life!!! We urgently need platelet donors! If you have nothing to do and you want to SAVE the life of an excellent human being who has given you moments of hesitation and joy as an artist then WE NEED YOU MORE THAN EVER!!!” wrote the artist, spreading the message to his millions of followers.
