Malcolm-Jamal Warner Reflects on ‘The Cosby Show’ Experience
When Malcolm-Jamal Warner looks back on his time on The Cosby Show, he does so with a sense of appreciation and nostalgia. The hit NBC comedy, which aired from 1984 to 1992, introduced the actor to audiences worldwide as Theo Huxtable, a role that kickstarted his career.
Filming the show in New York City, according to Warner, provided him with a unique perspective on life. Growing up in the city allowed him to have a more well-rounded adolescence, surrounded by friends who were not in the entertainment industry.

Warner’s latest venture is a podcast called Not All Hood, which he co-hosts with Weusi Baraka and Candace O. Kelley. The podcast aims to explore the diverse experiences within the Black community, focusing on themes like Black love and representation in media.
Through Not All Hood, Warner hopes to challenge the prevailing narratives about Black culture in the media and showcase the richness and diversity of Black experiences.
