I share in the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia this photograph that shows the cloud cover that has covered the town of Alcorisa (Teruel).

Altocumulus or altocumulus is a cloud characterized by these globular masses or coils in layers or patches. It has a certain cottony, spongy appearance.

They are medium altitude clouds, around 2 to 6 km, that we do not see very far from the houses of Alcorisa. They are medium in size, with masses in waves, cigar-like or rolled shapes, white to grayish in color.

For practical purposes, what do these clouds tell us? Well, they usually precede a cold front, very useful information especially in winter.

Alcorisa, crossed by the Guadalopillo River, is part of the Bajo Aragón region. In its surrounding landscape, the Cantera Saso mountain range stands out to the northeast, with the Peña Águila (833 meters), and the Caballos mountain range to the southeast, with the Carrasca hill (885 meters) on the border with Castellote.
