The M-501 highway has been closed to traffic between Navas del Rey and Pelayos de la Presa, in both directions, due to a problem in the drainage works detected at kilometer point 46.7 of this autonomously owned road, one of those affected by the Dana that hit the Community in September.
Specifically, technical personnel from the Exploitation Area of ??the Highway Directorate detected a problem in the drainage work this Tuesday and ordered the closure of traffic in the section that goes from kilometer point 43.5 to 48. Sources from the Ministry of Housing, Transport and Infrastructure informed Europa Press.
The detour is made along the M-855 from the Navas del Rey roundabout, with an alternative route with traffic lights in the port area to kilometer point 48 of the M-501.
However, access is allowed between kilometers 40 and 43.5 of the M-501 exclusively for travelers on the M-512 if they are heading towards Robledo de Chavela or El Escorial.
