On Wednesday the news broke: Lara Álvarez is in love again. A new illusion that could not come at a better time for the Asturian, who since she left Mediaset at the beginning of the year to pursue other projects and focus on herself, her fortune has only smiled on her.

Fate has wanted, however, that love has arrived precisely from the chain it abandoned; And the lucky one who once again occupies his heart is a journalist from Mediaset. Specifically, Antonio Texeira, whom viewers will know for taking charge of Telecinco’s mornings.

Together they have been discovered during a romantic trip to Lanzarote, where they have enjoyed and been seduced by the charms of the Canary Island. The magazine Hello! has caught the couple, who show great complicity and enormous affection in the images; walking hand in hand, kissing and hugging, regardless of the looks of those who might be around watching them.

The Extremaduran journalist, who has just turned 43, currently co-presents La Mirada Crítica, the current political, economic and social program with Ana Terradillos. He began his career on regional television, but soon made the jump to Spanish Television, as a reporter for España Directo.

His charisma and professionalism caught the attention of the directors of NBC Universal Telemundo, the largest Latin-speaking audiovisual group in the United States. There he became the new face of Al Rojo Vivo, along with presenter Jessica Carrillo. A professional success that earned him no less than two Emmy Awards, awarded by the American Television Academy, for Best News Anchor.

Two years later, Mediaset offered him an irresistible opportunity, and he left Miami to return to Spain. “In this life it is important to know how to get to a place. But how you leave says much more about you,” she said goodbye to Telemundo in 2022. “New horizons are coming, and life continues to present me with great opportunities to continue growing as what I am: a journalist.”

A feeling that he shares, coincidentally, with his partner, Lara Álvarez. The Asturian made public her decision to leave Mediaset España last February, after ten years working in the communication group, to embark on new professional paths.

“After almost 10 years that I will always remember, I have decided to leave Mediaset to embark on a new professional path. Thank you all for your love,” wrote the communicator, who also followed the maxim of “how you go says more about you.” The presenter has always maintained a great relationship with her colleagues at Mediaset, so it is not surprising that her path has ended up crossing that of Texeira.

The presenter also assured that she was never going to be closed to love, despite her breakup with Davide Rey, whom she met on Survivors, just a few months before. The Asturian has always defended her independence as a woman, recognizing on several occasions that the passage of time and her absence of a stable partner was not a problem for her.

“I’m not closed to love, ever. And it will come. I have no doubt that it will come,” said the communicator in a recent interview. “Life has surprised me in so many ways… You discover your own times.”
