“We have many options to win this Champions League.” This is how resounding Jonatan Giráldez has expressed himself in the preview of tomorrow’s final against Wolfsburg (4:00 p.m.). The FC Barcelona coach will experience his second European final at the helm of the team: “I’m looking forward to it with great enthusiasm. When you have the chance to coach Barça, you know you have to fight for all the titles. The atmosphere in the team is optimistic. We really wanted to get to Eindhoven”.

Giráldez is aware that the experience that having played in three finals in recent years gives them “a plus”, both in terms of the game and the way in which they deal with the previous weeks on a mental level. He acknowledges that the defeat in Turin last year hurt, but assures that “the job is not from end to end. We have played at the Camp Nou, at Stamford Bridge… All the experiences we have gained since then have made us mature. We are a team with much more patience ”, he assures.

Alexia Putellas has also spoken about this evolution: “We have improved in all phases of the game. We have more ways to play, we are more versatile and we get to know each other better”. Even so, she warns that it will be “a very even game”, as was the one in Turin against Lyon, a game that the captain remembers: “It was our worst game of the season. Small details made the difference and I think tomorrow will be the same”.

With more than eight thousand Blagurana fans traveling to Eindhoven, Alexia Putellas hopes to be able to give them back the title that was frustrated last season: “It was traumatic for me and for the whole team. We worked hard to win it and it couldn’t be. Today this is one more reason, among the many we have, to go all out”.

“The eleven is clear,” revealed Giráldez, who will have the only doubt in Asisat Oshoala, who did not train in the last session at the Philips Stadion. Regarding the presence or not of Alexia, he did not want to give clues: “Like the rest of the teammates, she is available to play whatever is necessary. She has been training for many weeks, she can play 30, 60, or 90 minutes”. The midfielder assures that his feelings are good: “I am at 100%, this is my current situation. The minutes that each player plays are up to the coach”.
