Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, known to the general public as Adele, is an international superstar. The Englishwoman has managed to win, among other recognitions and awards, 16 Grammy Awards, an Oscar, three MTV Video Music Awards and a Glamor Women of the Year award.

The singer can boast of having some of the most listened to songs of the last decades: Hello, Chasing Pavements, Rolling in the Deep, Set fire to the rain, Someone like you, Easy on me, etc. In addition, the British artist has one of the best voices in the current music industry, as well as a great live performance that makes her fans and followers fall in love with her from all over the world.

In addition to her undeniable talent, Adele is known for being one of the funniest people on the planet. Despite her international success, Beyoncé’s friend is close and natural in each and every one of the interviews she does with her, something that draws a lot of attention from her followers.

Another strong point of the English woman is that she lets herself be known through her songs. As the composer of most of them, Adele has shared with daydreamers some of the saddest and most complicated episodes of her life, so she has built a genuine connection by opening up.

Currently, the British artist resides in Las Vegas, where she has a ‘fixed’ show that will make her stay in America for at least five more months. Although the singer draws attention for her great talent, in recent days she has become news for an intimate confession that she gave in one of her last shows.

Adele testified before an attentive audience that she had been diagnosed with jock itch, a fungal infection that causes a red, itchy rash on warm, moist areas of the body. The Skyfall interpreter explained that this is due to the numerous costume changes that she makes in each and every one of her shows, so she was really sacrificing herself for her audience.

One of the main causes is that she wears Spanx, a type of form-fitting girdle that makes every outfit she wears form-fitting: ”My team and I have been talking about this before. Obviously, when I do the shows, I wear Spanx to keep it all in and fit well. And I sweat a lot and that’s not going anywhere. So basically I sit in my own sweat.”

Adele explained to the public that the clothes, the spotlights, the energy of the performance… cause massive sweating on her body that has affected her skin, causing these rashes in certain areas.

Despite the fact that she was speaking about a somewhat ‘uncomfortable’ topic in front of hundreds of people, Adkins successfully exited the conversation with her characteristic self-confidence and grace, demonstrating once again that there are no taboos for her.
