The American Talor Gooch, with twelve strokes under par, was proclaimed this Sunday, at the Real Club Valderrama in Cádiz, winner of the eighth tournament of the LIV Golf season, which has been held since Friday in the San Roque course in its first foray into Spain.

A ‘birdie’ on the last hole broke in favor of Gooch the tie he had with his compatriot Bryson DeChambeau, who finally finished second with eleven strokes under par in a purely American podium, since the third position has gone to Brooks Koepka, who finished the tournament with -9.

The first classified that does not come from the United States, located in fourth place, has been the Colombian Sebastián Muñoz, who presented a card of six strokes under par after a performance in which he has gone from less to more in the three days of the championship.

In fifth position, with -4, one of the three classified has been David Puig, the best Spaniard of the tournament and who has equaled in the final card with the Americans Patrick Reed and Jason Kokrak, while Sergio García (-2) from Castellón finished in tenth place, tied with the Chilean Joaquín Niemann.

In the team classification, the winner was Torque with sixteen shots under par, ahead of Range Goats, second with -11; and the Crushers, third with -7.

El Torque rose from fourth place on the first day to third on Saturday and first today, counting on a fundamental stronghold in the Colombian Muñoz, who scored points every day, by two of each of his three teammates: the Spanish Puig, Chilean Niemann and his compatriot Mito Pereira, who has been the least outstanding in the individual classification.
