The summer of San Miguel will leave stable weather in most of Spain with maximums that will experience a “progressive rise” especially starting on Thursday, with values ??higher than usual for the time of year, exceeding 30 degrees and even 32 -34 degrees in some parts of the country, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
That stability will only be altered this Tuesday by the passage of a not very active Atlantic front through the extreme north, which will bring cloudy skies to Galicia during the first hours of the day, although precipitation will be very unlikely. Weak and scattered rainfall is also not ruled out, mainly in the interior of Asturias and Cantabria.
In the Mediterranean area, intervals of low morning clouds are expected and in the rest, slightly cloudy or clear skies with bands of high clouds that will cross the Peninsula.
The highlight of this Tuesday will be the rise in temperatures in some points. The minimum temperatures will decrease in the northwest of Galicia and increases will predominate in the rest of the northern third and on the Plateau. The maximums will descend in the interior of the Cantabrian area and will rise in the interior of the eastern third of the peninsula and in the Canary Islands.
The Aemet speaks of high temperatures for the time. 30 degrees will be reached in Badajoz, Cáceres, Ciudad Real, Granada, Jaén, Lleida, Seville, Teruel, Toledo, Zaragoza or Córdoba, where the heat will be more typical of summer (34 degrees maximum).
“These are values ??more typical of the end of August than the end of September or the beginning of October, especially in the southern half of the peninsula, with maximums between 5 and 10 degrees above normal for this time of year,” predicted Rubén del Campo, spokesperson for the Aemet.
On Wednesday the stable weather will persist, although a front will touch Galicia with light rains and strong wind, while in the rest, the most notable will be morning fog banks and the wind that will blow from the southwest and that will lead to a clear rise in temperatures in the Eastern Cantabrian Sea, where temperatures could reach or exceed 30 degrees.
Starting on Thursday, temperatures will exceed 25 degrees in the northeast, 30 degrees in the southern half and 32-34 degrees in the Guadalquivir Valley in a period with almost total absence of precipitation. And from that day on the heat will get worse. According to Aemet, in the final stretch of the week an episode of high temperatures may “set up” due to the atmospheric stability caused by a ridge.
