The Unió Esportiva La Jonquera has issued a statement through its account on the X network, in which it publicly rejects the aggression suffered by the coach of the youth team in a match against Empuriabrava-Castelló this Saturday.

According to the Mossos, the events occurred around 2:00 p.m. at the Iñaki Fernández Orjales Football field in Castelló d’Empúries (Alt Empordà). “We want to express our deep discomfort, after our coach was brutally attacked while leading the youth team,” they say from the club, and detail that, after receiving blows “to the ribs, head and other parts of the body,” Arnau Liersa had He had to be transferred by ambulance to the Figueres hospital.
