Bengals great Ickey woods doesn't buy Rams hype: "They can be beat."

Bengals Ickey Woods doesn’t believe in the Rams hype before Super Bowl Sunday.

Yes, the Rams had a gunslinger quarterback in Matthew Stafford. He threw for 4,886 yard with 41 touchdowns and wide receiver Cooper Kupp . Kupp threw for 1,947 yard with 16 touchdowns.

They also have wideouts Odell Bettham Jr., Van Jefferson, running backs Sony Michel and Cam Akers, as well as defensive stars and future Hall of Famer Aaron Donald and Von Miller. Woods is optimistic that his old team will win the game and take home their first Lombardi Trophy.
They just have to be themselves. Woods stated earlier this week that they should do what got them there. They’ve faced these high-powered offenses and defenses since the playoffs began, and no one has given them a chance. I don’t want to hear about the ‘high-powered Los Angeles Rams. Baby, I am all about the Cincinnati Bengals. We will win the game.

“They lost five games, right?” They can beat them, OK? I don’t want to hear about the ‘high-powered defense. Aaron Donald is a great player but he’s only one player. Although he’s the only player that can make a difference in my opinion, I think we will all plan around him. One thing I can tell you is that they won’t be defeated. That’s it. They can be defeated. They can be beaten, and my Bengals will beat them on Super Bowl Sunday.”

The Bengals will have to defeat the Rams in Los Angeles if they are to win. Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase and quarterback Joe Burrow must play their best games.

Burrow’s last seven games have seen him throw 15 touchdown passes and only two interceptions, while averaging 331.1 yards per game. Chase’s 1,455 yards of receiving in the regular-season was the highest for a rookie in Super Bowl history. His seven catches of at or below 50 yards in both the playoffs and regular season are tied for the second-most by any player over the past 30 seasons.

Four points are in favor of the Rams
