The Danish-syrian documentary ‘The Cave’ is one of five nominees for an Oscar in the category ‘Best Documentary’.

It is about a female doctor, who leads an underground hospital in the syrian province of Al-Ghouta.

‘The Cave’ is produced by Danish Documentary Productions, which also produced German ‘Aquarela’, which is also on the shortlisten.
The Danish theatrical release 9. January.
The other nominees in the category ‘Best Documentary’ is the ‘American Factory’, ‘The Edge of Democracy’, ‘The Sama’ and ‘Honeyland’.
