He has played 384 matches for Silkeborg IF, however, it will not be to many more for captain Dennis Flinta.
The 36-year-old defender has just announced that he sets his career, when the contract with the super League team expires this winter.
Dennis Flinta says in a press release:
– At one time, it must the end. I am 36 years old, so it is surely not the big sensation that it is happening now. I am very pleased with that decision now taken, and I also feel that the time is right. I have enjoyed my years in football, and in SIF, but I also will not hide the fact that the past year has been hard with the up – and nedrykninger, injuries and a position, where I’m smoked out and in of the team.
– I have served my military service, one might say. The tour stops here, and I’m happy with what I have achieved. Of course, I could have wished that SIF had been closer to the top, but it was not to be.
Dennis Flinta does not exclude completely stop playing far – it must not, however, be in a professional context. So Flinta, in addition to the SIF have a past at FC Midtjylland, Brøndby and Avarta, are entering the labour market.
– My brother-in-law said to me the other day: “just Think, now you can be just what you want.” And yes, it is true. But it is also a little bit strange to look into a job future, as I do not know. I will not say that I’m nervous. But I am excited. I hope – and believe – that, that opens up some options that I can see myself in, ” says Dennis Flinta.
