The town of Gironella, in the Barcelona region of Berguedà, has been disrupted this Friday by a spectacular macro-operation of the Mossos d’Esquadra.
Several Catalan police cars and vans have traveled to the town to make several arrests against a criminal group that trafficked drugs in the area, specifically cocaine and hashish.
According to reports from the Mossos, the operation started around 5 in the morning and a total of fourteen entries have been made at homes and premises in the town. At this time, 12 people involved in drug trafficking have already been arrested, although the operation is still ongoing.
The members of the ARRO units keep the investigation open and plan to make several entries and searches throughout this Friday.
