An Orlando man was killed in a crash Saturday night after the vehicle he was driving hit a utility pole, troopers said.
William Luis, 55, was driving a Hyundai west on Sand Lake Road Saturday night, west of Winegard Road.
The vehicle in front of him, driven by Daryl Bass of St. Cloud, stopped at a traffic signal.
Luis didn’t stop, and hit Bass’ Chevrolet Equinox, causing the Hyundai to cross the eastbound lanes of Sand Lake Road.
The vehicle came to rest after striking a utility pole, troopers said in a release.
Luis was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
Officials are still investigating the crash.
