The Mossos d’Esquadra have managed to arrest two thieves a few hours after they stole a luxury watch from a tourist who was walking through the Raval in Barcelona.
According to police sources, the thieves hid in an apartment after committing the crime. The witnesses helped the mossos to find the hideout and, once there, the suspects were identified, who were immediately arrested. In the subsequent search the valuable watch was found.
The action is part of the ‘PlaTremall’ against multiple recidivism. The Urban Crime Groups deployed in the city act quickly against any criminal act.
Last year the Catalan police made 5,962 arrests and 811 investigations for violent robberies and thefts.
