The rain storm that has affected several parts of Spain in recent hours has left images that attest to its intensity. In Catalonia, the force of the sea has broken the moorings of several boats in towns in the Baix Empordà such as Calella de Palafrugell and Llafranc, ending up some of them stranded on the sand of the beach.
Up to six boats broke loose from their mooring in Calella de Palafrugell, landing either against the rocks or on the beaches of Port de la Malaespina and Port Bo. Two others had the same fate in Llafranc. Apart from this fact, other consequences of the rain in Palafrugell was the flooding of Plaza Martí i Pol, which has forced the sewers to be raised and also some flower pots falling from a house, without causing damage.
