Ubisoft has announced that Star Wars Outlaws, the first open-world video game set in the galactic saga, will go on sale on August 30 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Coinciding with the publication of the release date, the publisher has published a new trailer focused on the story of this new third-person action and adventure game.
The game is being developed by the Massive Entertainment studio, creators of The Division, and will place its story between two of the classic episodes of the original trilogy, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. As in the rest of the titles based on this fictional universe, it has the collaboration of Lucasfilm Games.
Star Wars Outlaws will star a new heroine, hustler Kay Vess, and her companion Nix. The game was first shown during the Ubisoft Forward digital event, held in June last year. At that time the game was shown in an extensive gameplay video.
Although its official release date will be next August 30, it has also been announced today that those who are subscribed to Ubisoft and those who buy the Gold or Ultimate editions will be able to access the game three days in advance.
