The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested a multi-recidivist thief who is very active in the area of ??Baix Llobregat and l’Hospitalet. After his arrest, his entry into provisional prison has been ruled.
As explained by the Catalan police this Tuesday in a statement, in less than fifteen days he docked at two hotels, a gas station and a bingo hall in l’Hospitalet de Llobregat; and at another gas station and another hotel in the nearby town of Sant Joan DespÃ. In fact, in one of his actions, carried out on February 10, he robbed two establishments that were only 250 meters apart.
The robber always used a similar modus operandi. Covered to try to hide his identity, he used a knife to intimidate store managers and take money from cash registers.
It was on January 30 when the investigation of the Mossos began, which has been resolved with the arrest at his home on February 16, thanks to the images and testimonies consulted by the investigators.
The person arrested by the Catalan police is known to have a total of 20 records for similar crimes. For all these reasons, the examining magistrate ended up ordering his entry into pretrial detention.
