A 23-year-old young man bled to death this Sunday after being cut by a glass window that he broke when he tried to enter an apartment to rob in Reconquista, province of Santa Fe.

The incident occurred in a two-story housing complex located on General Obligado Street at 3300 in the Lorenzón neighborhood. The authorities found the body of Alan Pereyra in a nearby ditch. The young man would have tried to rob both homes in the area. In the lower one he was unsuccessful and it was in the upper one that he suffered the wound that would prove fatal as it caused considerable blood loss.

The authorities arrived at the scene around 6 a.m. this Sunday after being alerted by neighbors who heard noises.

On the upper floor of the complex, they found a broken window and traces of blood, both on the outside of the place and on the balcony railing. The prosecutor on duty Alejandro Rodríguez ordered Pereyra’s body to be subjected to an autopsy.

The inhabitants of the apartments where Pereyra confirmed that the intruder did not manage to take anything from either apartment. It was Iván Núñez (19), a resident of the ground floor home, who said that the thief tried to enter his house but was unsuccessful.

The images, recorded in a video published by the local press, also show the balcony stained red on its wooden railings and the windows, although it is not clear which was the glass that injured the thief. The trails go from the cement to the dirt road, passing through a grassy area. There they would have found the dead thief.
