The arrest of the four agents, as sources from the armed institute have informed Europa Press, is, therefore, driven by alleged irregularities in the application of the VioGén system.
Several agents from the Castellón Civil Guard Command detected alleged irregularities in the monitoring of a woman victim of gender violence, who remained despite the fact that she had been dead since August 2021, and whose cause of death was not related to the gender violence for which it was included in the surveillance system.
According to information provided by Radio Castellón Cadena SER, the agents who were in charge of carrying out the routine controls established by the VioGén monitoring protocol have been removed from the force after it was discovered that they were still carrying out allegedly fraudulent visit reports for a dead person.
On February 19 of this year, the Civil Guard arrested the sergeant and the three agents and carried out the appropriate proceedings, which were sent to the Nules courts, as confirmed by sources from the armed institute.
