Civil Guard agents belonging to the Barajas Judicial Police Team (Madrid) have arrested a man in the province of Seville for possession of child pornographic material distributed among different data storage devices.
The reasons for the arrest occurred on October 17, 2023, when the staff of an airline company, applying the established protocols to identify the owner of a suitcase, located inside a device with images of sexual content in which they appeared to be minors involved.
After this event, the Fiscal Analysis and Investigation Unit of the Civil Guard at the airport was contacted, whose members, upon verifying the sensitivity of the material found, transferred the proceedings to the Judicial Police Team of the Barajas Civil Guard.
In a first hypothesis, the suitcase could be related to a man, since two plastic bags with possible sports content appeared inside it, relating it to a specific name and surname.
Furthermore, the existence of a claim to the airline by this person with the same name and surname was verified in the databases. Given the coincidence of what happened and together with the first proceedings, on February 1, 2024, the Court of Instruction number 44 of Madrid, which is investigating the case, was requested to enter and search the home of this person, in a town of the province of Seville.
Entry and registration was authorized for the 21st of the same month. During the search, various evidence was collected through the laptop, his personal cell phone and three USB flash drives, in which, after dumping them, it was possible to see quite a few images and videos of a sexual nature or content.
In some of them, minors could be observed being forced to have sexual relations with adults, images of completely naked girls and even relations between a girl under 14 years of age and an animal.
All these images and videos of a pedophile nature were deliberately downloaded through a platform for exchanging digital files between individuals, with knowledge of their pornographic content. In addition, the content was saved and divided into different folders with names referring to pedophilia.
The detainee, an adult male, of Spanish nationality and who had no police record, was placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority, who ordered his release with precautionary measures.
