The National Police have arrested in recent weeks four individuals accused of marking numerous doors of homes in the Madrid towns of Móstoles and Coslada to later commit robberies inside.
The first of the arrests dates back to the early hours of May 28, when a resident of the town of Coslada alerted the agents after observing two unknown men hanging around the landings of his building and manipulating the doors, says the higher headquarters. of the Madrid Police in a note.
Once at the scene, the agents located two men as they hurriedly left the building, who matched the physical description provided by the witnesses.
Among their belongings were found socks that are usually used to avoid leaving fingerprints on the door frames and, in addition, the police verified how two of the apartments had plastic witnesses on the door frames, being intervened.
Both individuals were arrested as alleged perpetrators of an attempted robbery with force and an infringement of the Aliens Law, since they had a decree of expulsion from the country.
The second of the arrests took place at dawn last Saturday in the town of Móstoles, when a police patrol was commissioned to a portal after being alerted by a neighbor who had observed two people manipulating doors on his landing.
When they arrived, the agents located two crouched individuals on the street who were trying to hide in a vehicle, being intercepted and identified.
Once a search of the adjoining properties was carried out, they discovered that 59 doors of houses in four portals on the same street had marks with threads of glue, which was intervened on one of the detainees during the search.
After the investigations carried out, the National Police verified that one of those arrested had been identified as the alleged perpetrator in a home robbery committed in 2020 in the Madrid district of Puente de Vallecas.
Both were arrested as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery with force.
