Jacob Christian Muse of College Park was charged with three counts of malice killing, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in a press release Friday.
Grantville officers arrived on the scene at Lock Stock & Barrel Shooting Range, April 8. They found the bodies of the owner of the range and his wife and grandson. Thomas Hawk, 75, Evelyn Hawk 75, and Luke Hawk 17 were the victims.
Investigators claimed that up to 40 guns and the surveillance camera of the range were also taken.
The shooting range is located in Coweta County about 50 miles (about 81 kilometers) southwest Atlanta.
Steve Whitlock, Chief of Police, stated that the Hawk family was well-known in their tight-knit community. For close to 30 years, Lock Stock & Barrel was owned and operated by the Hawks. Their grandson was at spring break and helped his grandparents in the shop.
Officials said that Muse was booked in the Coweta County Jail. Muse was arrested by authorities, but no further information was released. It is not known if Muse has an attorney who can comment.
