The Comedy Pet Photo Awards 2024, which seeks to highlight the positive and vital role of pets in our lives, has announced its finalists. These images were not only selected for their photographic quality, but also for their comical quality.
Now they are in a more rigorous selection stage, in which anyone can participate through the contest website, the organization gives the public the opportunity to vote for their favorite photograph.
There are 30 photographs that are in the final of the contest and where the public can choose the winner. In them there is a wide variety of animals in which they all share the same goal: to make people laugh.
From a curious cat trapped in a wall to the gesture of a hamster enjoying the sun’s rays, and the charming Edgar tortoise delighting in flowers are some of the images that the contest leaves us with.
The 30 finalists will be eligible for the “Public Choice” category, where the public is invited to vote through the website for their favorite fun pet. Voting will be open from May 10 to June 2. One voter, chosen at random, will win a £100 cash prize.
The competition was created by Paul Joynson Hicks and Tom Sullam, both professional photographers, to celebrate the positive and vital role that pets play in our lives and to encourage participation in animal welfare.
The winners of Comedy Pet 2024 will be announced on June 6. The winner will receive £500 cash and a ThinkTANK camera bag.
