The south of Brazil is experiencing an extreme situation. The floods due to heavy rains that have hit the region for two weeks have already left 144 dead and 125 missing. The situation may worsen in the coming hours due to the flooding of the rivers due to the storms this Sunday.
In total there are 2.1 million people affected by the lack of housing, food, water, energy and medical services. In parallel, the rescue efforts continue, not easy due to the weather conditions.
The floods have not only put thousands of families in check, but hundreds of animals have been trapped. In the midst of the tragedy, some neighbors have decided to go out to rescue the dozens of lost or abandoned dogs, as seen in several videos published on social networks.
This is the case of a man who decided to drive his car in the middle of a storm to rescue some furry people in the area. He gains the trust of the animals by offering them a plate of food, which most accept without thinking, because they have not eaten a bite for several days.
After starting to eat, he puts the plate inside the car so that they can get into the vehicle and thus save them from a possible flood. The man repeats this maneuver several times, whenever he sees a dog. Thus, he gets several dogs to get into the back of the car.
The dogs seem to be very comfortable and thank him for the gesture with several licks on the face. On social networks, his initiative has also been well received. “How beautiful.
