Pets are the most vulnerable to abandonment. Many times people get tired of taking care of them, and instead of giving them to other people who love them, they decide to leave them on the street, which puts them in a very dangerous situation.

Dogs essentially lead the statistics, since they are the companion animal par excellence. According to data from the Affinity Foundation, more than 280,000 cats and dogs will be rescued in Spain in 2022.

However, there are people who fight to give a home and a future to these dogs that end up wandering the streets and sometimes even on the highways, with the danger that this entails for their health.

This is the case of a man in Serbia, whose story has been uploaded to Twitter by the account @ser_espiritual_. In the video you can see that he has rescued up to 750 dogs from the streets of his town, and dedicates the entire day to caring for them.

“The dogs have eight hours of free play every day,” the subtitles state. “I don’t want them to feel in a shelter, I want them to feel free like all the dogs that are free.”

The man comments that up to 20 people a day call him to go rescue a dog they have seen. Every day he asks the people who help him if any dogs are hurt or sick. This work has earned him the love of people in the comments to the tweet.
