For Italian luxury brands there is no greater pride than their artisanal heritage. Tod’s celebrates it in each collection, each garment and bag made and this Thursday they have decided to take this tribute one step further.
In a magical place in Venice, the Scuola Grande di San Rocco, the Italian brand has brought together a stellar entourage of celebrities, including the actor Adrien Brody, to exalt the art of local craftsmanship. Under the title of the “art of craftsmanship”, Tod’s has held a gala dinner between frescoes by Tintoretto and canvases by Titziano.
The gala dinner, hosted by Michelin-starred chef Massimiliano Alajmo, took place at the Salone Maggiore of the ancient Venetian confraternity.
The guests, including names such as Hayley Atwell, Zhang Ziyi, Keita Machida, Nancy Zhang, Pia Wurtzback and Julia Restoin Roitfeld, were able to delight in a unique menu, made exclusively with ingredients from the region.
As a finishing touch, the gala event featured the imposing roar of Andrea Bocelli, a giant of Italian classical music who filled the historic space with his talent by singing internationally renowned songs, such as Con Te Partirò and Can’t Help. Falling in Love.
