At 41 years old, Antonio Pavón has acknowledged having lived last Friday one of the most terrifying experiences of his life. The bullfighter has confessed that he was assaulted in the middle of the street, receiving a hard blow to the head that left him unconscious for about twenty minutes; to later wake up next to the door of his house together with two unknown women, inside a van.
An event from which he has not yet recovered, and although he initially accused those two women of wanting to rob him, he was later able to connect the dots and see that this version did not correspond to reality. Pavón himself wanted to explain how everything happened on his Instagram account, issuing a notice so that we all “become more aware that we have to go down the street with more caution.”
Pavón currently resides in Lima (Peru), a city where he has lived for years and where he has suffered this strange incident from which he is still recovering.
The bullfighter says that it was approximately eight in the evening when he decided to go home after eating and drinking. On the street, he tried to hail a taxi, but that’s where he basically ends everything he remembers, because someone hit him hard on the head, knocking him to the ground. “My last sensation was a very strong pain in my head and it seemed that my vision was blurring until I lost consciousness,” he says, confessing that he does not remember more than what happened, despite his efforts.
However, to his surprise, he appeared at the door of his house a short time later: “I lose consciousness for 20 minutes and I recover it again at the door of my house,” he says, explaining that he was also very scared, because he was He was inside a van “with two ladies I didn’t know at all” and in a clear “state of fear and panic” not knowing what was or was happening.
Pavón did the only thing he saw logical at that moment, which was to accuse the two women of attempted robbery and even of having drugged him: “I accused the ladies, and they told me ‘calm down, we just want to help you’. I got into home quickly and the next day I went to the nearest police station to tell everything”.
It was there that he discovered that reality had nothing to do with it: indeed, the women just wanted to help him. Of course, they had gone to the police station the day before to denounce him for accusing them of being thieves and to be able to give their version of the facts.
“The police put me in contact with them to be able to share the two versions and we understood that they saw me in the middle of the street next to a car that was moving quickly and disappeared from the scene without leaving a trace,” explains the bullfighter, once the two versions were contrasted, “They helped me and took me home safe and sound. I thanked them with all my heart for that detail they had with me, which saved me from that dangerous situation.”
“Please be very careful, I don’t wish anyone what happens in a matter of minutes. Thanks to these ladies I can tell you this story,” insists the bullfighter, who appears in the images precisely next to those two women, whom he has already qualified as “my angels”.
