Jorge Javier Vázquez has returned to television after a few months away due to health problems caused, among other things, by the end of Sálvame. “Sometimes you have to stop. The body and mind send you signals and throughout my life I have paid little attention to them. Until today. I need to stop to take care of myself,” the journalist wrote on his Instagram account at the beginning of June.

Now, he is stronger than ever at the helm of Cuentos Chinos, his new program on Telecinco’s ‘access prime time’, competing against El Hormiguero. And although he is giving many headlines, it seems that the audience is not with him, and the first consequences are already being seen.

Despite the efforts of the presenter and his collaborators to track audience data, they are achieving little. In last Tuesday’s program they achieved a 6.7% share and 868,000 viewers. A figure that places Cuentos Chinos at the bottom of the programs broadcast in the same time slot.

For this reason, Mediaset has decided to dispense with its Thursday program, leaving it only from Monday to Wednesday. Another reason for this decision is to advance the broadcast of Big Brother VIP 8 in order to obtain better audience data for the main reality show gala.

With this, GHVIP8 will go from airing on Thursdays at 10:30 p.m. to 9:50 p.m. The network has confirmed this in a press release issued a few hours ago. Thus, they intend to face MasterChef Celebrity, on La 1, and El novice, on Antena 3.

And this week’s war is going to be definitive to find out who will be the leader of Thursdays. Last week the three programs achieved a similar audience, achieving almost a triple tie at 13% share. For this reason, they are going to put all the meat on the grill.

With this Jorge Javier Vázquez takes another hit in his life. And the last one was by Kiko Hernández. The presenter wanted to write an article in Lecturas magazine justifying his absence at the collaborator’s wedding. “Kiko got married and I haven’t gone to her wedding. In fact, I haven’t spoken to him since he told Sálvame that he is with Fran Antón and that he has always been gay,” he wrote.

And it didn’t sit well with him that Hernández didn’t trust him after all these years together. “Disappointment overcame me. Maybe sadness too. And disenchantment,” he continued. “It is very hard to accept that the person with whom you have been through and shared so many things is nothing more than a perfect stranger,” he said.
