The Promise has returned to the small screen one more day with a most interesting episode. In this latest installment of the Spanish Television La 1 series, we have seen how María Fernández is still kidnapped, and after the death of her kidnapper, Valentín, she will look very weak. Little by little she runs out of water, but Jana, Abel, Salvador and Lope will do everything possible to find the whereabouts of the maiden.
Additionally, Ramona will show some concern for her son. The cook believes that Valentín is capable of harming her, something that torments her every thought.
The race against time to discover the whereabouts of María Fernández continues: a clue discovered by Abel in Valentín’s body could lead the authorities to the place where the missing maid is located. However, it is soon revealed that the doctor’s true motive is to please Jana to regain her affections, even if this means resorting to lying. Despite her attempts at denial, Leonor uncovers the romance between Curro and Martina, unleashing an especially harsh reaction from her cousin, who considers the betrayal as the end of years of friendship.
Alonso warned Pelayo about the possible act of betrayal that Cavendish’s return to La Promesa would mean, complicating the plans for his return. Looking to close a deal with the Englishman, Pelayo finds an unexpected ally to address the situation in La Promesa. Meanwhile, the servants’ searches to find María Fernández persist, and seem to finally give results when Lope believes he has located her whereabouts.
