The upcoming season promises intense competition on primetime television. Added to the consolidated presence of ‘El Hormiguero’ by Pablo Motos on Antena 3 is the long-awaited debut of ‘La Resistencia’ by David Broncano on TVE.

To all this, Mediaset will join the fight, which is in talks to sign Carlos Latre, showing its determination not to be left behind in this battle for viewership.

According to what Bluper reports, in recent weeks there have been conversations between Mediaset España and Carlos Latre about the possibility of him joining the group.

If this comes to fruition, Latre would face a considerable challenge: competing against his current boss, Pablo Motos, in ‘El Hormiguero’, as well as against the great arrival of TVE.

In recent months, Mediaset has explored various options to improve its results during that time. First was ‘Cuentos Chinos’ by Jorge Javier Vázquez, which was canceled just three weeks after its premiere due to its poor performance, finishing in fifth position in its slot.

‘Allá Tú!’ was also released in December. with Jesús Vázquez, but after three months on the air and with an audience rating close to 7% share, it was also withdrawn.

With the possible incorporation of Carlos Latre, Mediaset could snatch from Antena 3 one of the regular collaborators of ‘El Hormiguero’ and one of the most established judges of ‘Tu cara me Sonya’, along with Ángel Llácer, Chenoa and Lolita Flores.

If he signed with Mediaset, Latre would be forced to leave the talent program presented by Manel Fuentes on Antena 3. Although in the past he has worked on TVE, he could combine it with his role in ‘Tu cara me Sonya’.
