MasterChef has become one of the most followed and controversial talents on Spanish television. For this reason, many fans of the kitchen see this contest as a great opportunity to make the leap to professional cooking.
In this 11th edition of MasterChef Spain that ended yesterday, a total of 70,000 chefs appeared, of which 60 qualified for the broadcast phase and appeared in at least one program on La 1. However, beyond the media exposure What MasterChef supposes, this talent is a competition and only one has won the final prize.
The verdict of this final has been prepared by the usual three members of the jury, Pepe Rodríguez, Samantha Vallejo-Nágera and Jordi Cruz. The usual trio of judges were assisted in the final by chef Mauro Colagreco. In addition, chef Toño Pérez and a regular from the talent such as Martín Berasategui also participated in the final.
The first classified, obtains the title of MasterChef Spain, and an economic prize of 100,000 euros in cash. In addition, the winner will also publish their own recipe book and will study the Master’s Degree in Technical Cooking and Product at the Basque Culinary Center University of Gastronomic Sciences.
For its part, the second classified has won a Master’s Degree in Restaurant Pastry and Sweet Cuisine, while the third will have the option of taking an eight-week Specialization Course in Avant-garde Culinary Techniques. Both prizes are exchanged at the University of Gastronomic Sciences Basque Culinary Center, in San Sebastián.
