Carmen Borrego has been forced to leave Survivors 2024, due to a series of personal and mental health circumstances that have marked her career in the reality show. The collaborator wanted to continue, but after a few days of waiting it was considered that it was best for her to return to Spain.
The decision to leave, dictated by the program’s medical team, has been based on concern for his mental well-being, aggravated by the recent death of María Teresa Campos, his mother. This factor, together with the extreme conditions of the contest, led Borrego to experience moments of profound fragility and to be evacuated from the island for observation.
The contestant, upon finding out that her experience had ended abruptly, was very sad. “That in the end everything goes this way causes me pain,” she expressed, regretting not being able to participate in the reality show for longer.
Fortunately, she was able to count on the unconditional support of José Carlos, her husband. “We are very proud of you and we know that you are very proud of what you have overcome,” she told her wife, who began to cry as soon as she heard her voice. “We really want to hug you, we have missed you. You are a fantastic aunt and I love you,” she said.
Carmen’s reaction to her husband’s words was moving. Through tears, she expressed her love and gratitude towards him, highlighting the importance of his support in the most complicated moments: “I want everyone to know that you are the best thing that has happened to me in my life. By your side I will always be happy, I am convinced. I love you with all my soul, I need you.”
Likewise, Borrego took advantage of the moment to delve into her gratitude, pointing out the essential role that her husband played in a very difficult moment for her: “Thank you for always being there and for supporting me in every decision I make. José Carlos, visibly moved, responded that he will be with her because of her “generosity and love.”
