Beef & Boards Presents ‘The Wizard of Oz’ – A Magical Journey
Indianapolis Recorder – The classic tale of “The Wizard of Oz” is currently being brought to life at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre in a spectacular production that is captivating audiences of all ages. Starring Grace Atherholt as Dorothy Gale, the show features a talented cast including Joey Boos as the Scarecrow, Jaden Kindle as the Tin Man, Brett Mutter as the Cowardly Lion, and Ty Stover as the title character.
The timeless story follows Dorothy, a farm girl from Kansas, as she embarks on a magical adventure in the land of Oz, encountering beloved characters such as the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion along the way. With classic songs like “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “We’re Off to See the Wizard,” the production stays true to the iconic film adaptation.
Originally premiering on Broadway in 1902, the current rendition of “The Wizard of Oz” draws inspiration from the beloved 1939 MGM film and was adapted by John Kane in 1987. Audiences can expect to be transported to the Emerald City through enchanting performances and dazzling musical numbers.
The show will run for 57 performances at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre, located at 9301 Michigan Road, until July 7th. Evening and matinee showtimes are available, with a dinner buffet and beverages offered before each performance. Tickets are priced between $55-$82, with discounts available for children aged 3-15.
