Aitana Ocaña is one of the most relevant singers of current Spanish music. The native of Sant Climent de Llobregat raises passions wherever she goes, exciting her audience and her closest circles thanks to her dedication in recording studios, public events, meetings with fans and other activities. A gratitude that she has also shown in her interview in El Hormiguero with Pablo Motos.
The Catalan artist has gone to the San Sebastián de los Reyes studio to present what has been dubbed the ‘Second Bernabéu’, her second concert at the Real Madrid stadium to definitively close the Alpha Tour, on December 29. Among the many topics that have arisen during the conversation, one of them has been her relationship with Sebastián Yatra, particularly after publishing their joint song Akureyri.
“The song is named after an Icelandic town. It is the place where I saw the first northern lights with my family. I was 15 years old, it was very special,” the performer explained about the origin of this piece and all the commotion she has created as it was a collaboration with her theoretical ex-partner. To make light of the matter, Motos has opted for a joke before Aitana inquires: “It’s as if in Iceland they released a song called Torrevieja.”
“With Sebastián I am composing a lot, but that song started in one situation, was recorded in another and the video clip was made in another. The song, at first, was just for me, when it only had the chorus, but when we made the chorus, Sebastián told me that it had to be for everyone. It is a song that should be sung as a duet. I know there is a lot of speculation about us, but nothing is known. Sebastián and I love each other very much, and it is evident,” he explained.
The supposed reconciliation between the Catalan and the Colombian gave a lot to talk about, particularly during a YSL Beauty event that she attended, in which they asked her about some photographs that were taken of them in Madrid. “The photos have come out, I have seen them, it makes me very funny, honestly. Yes, the photos have come out, what I can say is… that I am very well, I am very well,” she explained in statements to Europa Press.
“Right now I’m working a lot, I’m really very happy, with many projects to launch. I think you’re going to like it a lot. It’s true that I deal with a lot of things every day. Sometimes I also need to be with my parents, with my family. But I’m fine,” she commented in the same interview. Previously, in And now Sonsoles on Antena 3, she had already expressed her sentimental situation: “There is always time for love. I’m fine”.
