Celia Freijeiro is one of the great actresses of our country. The Galician interpreter has been immersed in the world of cinema and television for almost two decades, starring and participating in major audiovisual productions, such as the Spanish Television series Servir y Proteger and the Netflix film Bird Box Barcelona.
His latest professional project arrived in 2024 from Prime Video. The 41-year-old actress is part of the cast of one of the fictions that caused the most talk at the beginning of the year, Red Queen. This novel thriller is based on the work of the same name by Juan Gómez Jurado and tells the story of Antonia Scott (Vicky Luengo), the most intelligent person on Earth with an IQ of 242.
Three months after the premiere of this great Spanish production on Prime Video, Celia Freijeiro appeared as a guest on the La Script podcast, a program specialized in cinema and series, and which is presented by the journalist and critic María Guerra. During the interview, the Galician interpreter revealed some of the most intimate details of her life, such as the aspect that really changed her life forever.
”In Galicia it is very cold and rainy and I am cold. And for me, going out on weekends in the rain and cold… made me quite lazy. So I stayed at home watching a lot of movies. And my friend Rebeca was fantastic because she lived next door to her and she loved movies,’ she began by saying.
And as the actress explained, her perfect plan was to stay at her grandmother’s house watching movies. ”My grandmother was the best, she is still the best at 95 years old. “She made us croquettes and French fries and we watched some amazing movies,” she explained. ”So cinema has changed your life,” the presenter told him.
Freijeiro claimed that not only had the seventh art changed his life, his friendships had also been fundamental in his personal learning. ”Cinema, culture and friends have changed my life. I have been very lucky to have very good friends who in the end are home and add to and enrich you. “I have a fantastic group of friends,” concluded the actress.
